June 2019
As the best modelling website from here to the Yetts O' Muckhart proudly states: Small parts are a good thing! And indeed they are, especially when you need one hundred and forty-four off them to make up a whole part in the grown-up, real world. For it was to the Braille Scale that we turned and aimed our not inconsiderable modelling prowesses towards for our 1/144 themed night. That's not to say that said prowesses hit their targets as, let's face it, they were bleedin' teensy-weensy. The targets, that is, not our prowesses. Some might argue that.
This time, it was Bruce's turn to take centre stage and give us all a bit of a blow-by-blow account on how to brush with air, or rather, brush with paint using air through the imaginatively, but accurately named essential tool of the serious modeller - the airbrush.
The overall results of the competition were:
1st - Kevin & Gary - GWH Gigant / Sweet Zero
2nd - Bruce - GWH Victor
3rd - Alastair - Sweet Claude
4th - Alex - HMS Buttercup
5th - Jeff - Mosquito Mk.I
