February 2020
At last, here was a competition theme I could really get behind. But what to make? First I though about a nice, rich Tiramisu, or perhaps a smooth, creamy crème brûlée. But then, I felt like a right pudding when I realised that the theme was not DESSERT, as in those luscious third courses of heavenly sweetness, but DESERT, as in those dry, sandy places of the world. I would have gone with a Butterscotch Angel Delight with a plastic camel stuck on top, but I ate it first.
The overall results of the competition were:
1st - Kevin - 1/72 HobbyBoss Mi-24 Hind
Joint 2nd - Bruce - 1/48 Tamiya Rommel's Half Track / Gary - 1/48 Eduard Bf109G-6/Trop
3rd - Alastair - 1/144 Eduard MiG-15 UTI
4th - Graham - 1/16 Trumpeter M1A1 Abrams
Joint 5th - Neil - 1/48 AFC Scimitar / Craig - Maximus Decimus Meridius

As Graham entered two kits, only one is allowed to place, so this little beauty was unable to be counted.
