Keeping in the spirit of mixing it up a bit this year, for our April comp night, where the theme was 'Civil Aircraft', we thought it might be an idea to throw caution to the wind and let fate be the judge of the day. Instead of us selecting the chosen few, it was decided that the honour would go to whomever was judging this newly-formed category at the Scottish National Model Show, held in the fair city of Perth at the end of April (thus giving us a fly few weeks to finish our offerings as well!). Whatever model scored the highest, would therefore scoop the coveted 10 points and take a place in our 2018 leader board, even if that ranking was only a Highly Commended, or the bronze equivalent, Commended. Then, once all the show tables had been put away for another year and the dust has finally settled, we ourselves would then vote the runners-up at the May club meet.
